Material: Handknotted Bandhani Tie & Dye on Gajji Silk & Dana weave on Mashru silk

Bandhani is a type of Tie & Dye textile decorated by plucking the cloth with the fingernails into many tiny bindings that form a figurative design. The term bandhani is derived from the Sanskrit verbal root bandh (""to bind, to tie"").

Gajji Silk fabric is fine quality handwoven fabric made with mixed silk and cotton threads to create a textile that is simple cotton on one side and a rich appearance of glistering silk on the other.

The Mashru fabric is a vibrant, handwoven mix of Silk and Cotton textiles. The word ‘Mashru’ means ‘permitted’ in Arabic and its Sanskrit variation ‘Misru’ means ‘mixed’. Mashru has a characteristic fine satin finish, bright contrasting stripes in vibrant colors and striped Ikat weave or a butta dana like a grain weave The fabric is mainly manufactured in Patan and Mandvi in Gujarat, India.
