The celebrated painter M.F. Hussain dedicated a film गजगामिनी or Gaja Gaamini (one with a graceful walk like an elephant) to his favorite muse Madhuri Dixit an inspiration for artists & as an ode to womanhood.
अबnoरmal celebrates beauty, women power & eternal grace in our inimitable ishtyle using the traditional Madhubani artform.

Madhubani art (or Mithila painting) is practiced in the Madhubani district of Mithila region of Bihar. This painting is done with fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens,matchsticks etc using natural dyes and pigments and is characterised by eye-catching geometrical patterns. This painting as a form of wall art from the paste of powdered rice was practiced widely throughout the region; the more recent development of painting on paper and canvas mainly originated among the villages around Madhubani, and it is these latter developments that led to the name Madhubani art being used alongside the name "Mithila Painting."
Madhubani painting has been accorded the coveted GI (Geographical Indication) status.
Madhubani paintings mostly depict humans & their association with nature and the scenes & deities from the ancient epics. Natural objects like the sun, the moon, and religious plants like tulsi are also widely painted, along with scenes from the royal court and social events like weddings.

Presenting the “Gaja Gaamini” choli where we have tried to recreate the magic of hand painted Madhubani art paintings portraying elephants splashing water. A simple rangoli pattern around back neck & sleeves & Tassles that have cute hand painted wooden elephants & pompoms completes this cute choli. True to the original art form we have painted the figures in white mimicking the rice paste on black cotton.

Material: Pure cotton in Black color. Colors may appear slightly different in a picture.

Sizes: The choli comes in standard ready to wear sizes 34 to 48 with a 2 inch margin inside for alterations.
Custom sizes are possible at an extra cost. Provided upon request.
